About Me

My name is Andrew Jay Sanger. I grew up in one of America's quaint "small towns", Colonial Beach, Virginia. I moved there at 3. The town is infamous for having been the home of the naval scientists that developed the nuclear bomb at Dahlgren Base, Naval Surface Warfare Center. After some original testing in King George, Virginia, plans were made to move west to finish the armaments. As such we have a whole host of issues that stem from nuclear experiments exposure. We even had one of the pilots from the Enola Gay that lived in town when I grew up there.

I lived in San Diego, California for a year. I loved the city's beautiful beaches, mild weather, and diverse population. I also enjoyed exploring the city's many attractions, such as the San Diego Zoo, the USS Midway Museum, and the Gaslamp Quarter. During my time in San Diego, I worked very little, I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and learning about their stories. I also enjoyed driving around the city and seeing all the different sights. In San Diego, I was close to the Naval Underwater Warfare Center, which was one of the sites where nuclear weapons were developed and tested. However, the testing was done in the ocean, so there was no risk of radiation exposure to the local population.

After living in San Diego for a year, I moved to the Philadelphia suburbs. I lived in the suburbs for two years. I enjoyed the slower pace of life in the suburbs and the sense of community. I also enjoyed being close to Philadelphia, which offered a variety of cultural and entertainment options. During my time in the Philadelphia suburbs, I worked as a Uber and Lyft driver. I enjoyed meeting people from all over the region and learning about their stories. I also enjoyed driving around the suburbs and seeing all the different towns. I learned a lot about myself and about the world during my time in San Diego and Philadelphia. I am grateful for the opportunity to have lived in these two amazing cities.

Moving to the Salt Lake area was a real eye-opener for me. I quickly realized that the Manhattan Project had a much more significant impact on the lives of people in this area.I also learned that many people in the Salt Lake area have a personal connection to the Manhattan Project. Some of their family members worked on the project, and others were affected by the testing. The Salt Lake area was home to the Dugway Proving Ground, which was used to test chemical and biological weapons. The testing at Dugway Proving Ground caused widespread environmental contamination, and many people in the area are still suffering from the effects of the testing. The testing at the Nevada Test Site released large amounts of radiation into the environment, and many people in the Salt Lake area were exposed to this radiation. The testing at West Wendover, a small town near the Nevada Test Site, was particularly harmful. The town was located downwind from the test site, and residents were exposed to high levels of radiation. Many people in West Wendover have developed health problems as a result of the testing, including cancer, birth defects, and respiratory problems.

Living in the Salt Lake area has given me a much different view of the Manhattan Project. I have a new appreciation for the impact that the project has had on people's lives, and I am more aware of the baseness of mankind's treatment of one another and have a renewed appreciation of Peace. I am grateful for the opportunity to have lived in the Salt Lake area, and I am glad that I have been able to learn more about the Manhattan Project and its effects on people's lives. I believe that it is important to remember the past, so that we can learn from it and prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future.

Working Life

I started my working life as a dishwasher and prep cook at restaurants in my hometown. I worked at a variety of seafood restaurants, including Dockside restaurant, and the old Parker's Crab Shore. I learned the basics of cooking and food preparation, and I developed strong teamwork and communication skills. I was also responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, which taught me the importance of attention to detail.

After a year as a dishwasher and prep cook, I worked as a manager at McDonald's. In this role, I was responsible for managing a team of 20 employees, scheduling shifts, training new employees, and resolving customer complaints. I also developed a strong reputation for customer service, and I was able to keep high profitability on my shifts.

After three years as a manager at McDonald's, I decided to pursue a career in insurance. I worked as an insurance agent at GEICO for five years, where I sold and serviced insurance policies to customers. I also processed claims and resolved customer disputes. I built strong relationships with customers and developed a reputation for providing excellent customer service. I was also awarded the President's Club Award for outstanding sales performance.

In addition to my work experience, I have also volunteered passing out hot meals, jackets, and blankets to the homeless. I also have volenteers at a food bank and a local community farm. I am passionate about helping others, and I believe that volunteering is a great way to give back to the community.
